Scott Eastwood already has a busy schedule ahead of him with roles in multiple films. Now the list could be appended with word that the son of legendary actor Clint Eastwood allegedly in talks to star in “Pacific Rim: Maelstrom”.
Legendary Pictures want Eastwood in 'Pacific Rim 2'
Legendary Pictures is reportedly in serious talks with the rising star to star in the “Pacific Rim” sequel which is set to come out in early 2018.
Eastwood is being offered a key role according to Deadline who could end up staring alongside John Boyega on the Steven S. DeKnight directed film.
Production for “Pacific Rim 2: Maelstrom” is expected to commence production later this year where Boyega will play the son of “Idris Elba”. There is no word on what role Eastwood would be getting though Screen Rant believes it will likely see him piloting one of the Jaegers.
Can Eastwood factor 'Pacific Rim 2' on his schedule?
Eastwood has been around since 2006 but has a packed schedule ahead of him. Aside from possibly taking that role on “Pacific Rim 2”, Scott is lined up on several high profile films.
The list includes roles on “Snowden”, “Worst. Heroes. Ever” and “Suicide Squad”. He is also set to be part of “Fast and Furious 8” set for release next year and “Live by Night” which will be directed by Ben Affleck.
Scott Eastwood’s star has been rising and is someone coming into his own. He started appearing on his father’s films like “Flags of Our Fathers” and “Gran Torino”. He has appeared on recent films like “The Longest Ride” and “Diablo”, proof that he is well on his way of following his father’s footsteps.
Will he accept? If so, it could be an interesting “Pacific Rim” sequel. “Pacific Rim 2: Maelstrom” is set to debut in theaters on February 23, 2018.
