The first multiplayer expansion of "Uncharted 4," titled "Lost Treasures," was launched on June 29, 2016. Developer Naughty Dog also featured a new trailer and provided several details about the contents of the add-on.
"Uncharted 4" Lost Treasures is available via the 1.08 update. The patch is 1.3GB big and features a new multiplayer map, new items and Chests, boosters, a levelling system, several gameplay and weapon balances, among others.
GameSpot cited that the ne multiplayer map of "Uncharted 4" Lost Treasures is called Sunken Ruins, which may appear familiar to gamers who previously played the single-player campaign. It is a very small map and intended to be for fast-paced battles.
There are more Chests in the game that contain special weapons and the new mystical item, Path of Indra, which teleports players to teammates. The Chests can be purchased using in-game currency or real-world cash.
The new weapons in "Uncharted 4" Lost Treasures include the P90, a full auto submachine gun, the Arrowhead A3c, and a fully automatic long range variable rifle called the Enforcer G26.
There's also a semi-auto pistol with rapid fire, the Agarwal .40, a powerful 40-caliber pistol and the Harbinger Sniper, a heavy weapon sniper gun.
The boosters include the Enhanced Radar, the Gunslinger, Hardened and Gifting.
The PlayStation Blog cited lead designer Robert Cogburn in explaining that the 1.08 patch also brings a number of features, including a levelling system which has 70 levels.
Every level will reward players with various items. Players will earn a vanity item that cannot be acquired elsewhere, whenever they finish five levels.
These vanity items in "Uncharted 4" Lost Treasure are unique and ideal to showcase the veteran status of gamers. XPcan be earned by finishing matches, earning medals and earning score.
The Uncharted 4 store also featured several new vanity items for the Lost Treasures launch, such as over 50 new skins, 70 new hat and face items, new taunts and weapon skins. Players also get a vanity item upon attaining Gold, Platinum and Diamond status.
The 1.08 patch also revamped the ranked team deathmatch mode. It will now be set over the course of Seasons. Cogburn said that the first season will last 60 days, ending on Aug. 20, 2016.
There will be a brief break before the next season begins. The break will be used to introduce changes and updates. More details on "Uncharted 4" Lost Treasures are expected to follow.
