“Halo 5” gamers get a big bonus from today up to July 5 with the release of the latest expansion pack, “Warzone Firefight”. The expansion is available for free to Xbox One gamers, something that comes with new maps, modes and weapons among others.
The free offer of “Halo 5 Warzone Firefight” is part of the Free Play Days promotion with the game title reverting to its original price after July 5. The expansion is already available.
To touch a little bit on “Warzone Firefight”, the new mode is one of the key additions to Halo 5 according to Xbox Wire. It was developed by 343 and underwent testing last April on open beta. One thing worth looking forward to is the new boss villain (“Grunt Goblin”) which should force gamers to use their skill and wits to take him down.
As mentioned earlier, there will be a lot of new stuff to look forward to on Halo 5 Warzone Firefight. That includes three new multiplayer maps , two for Warzone (“Attack on Sanctum” and “Prospect”), and one for Arena (“Molten”) as mentioned by Game Spot.
Aside from the maps, other goodies to look forward to include “Cinder” and “Cyclops” armor sets, new weapons and an interesting new vehicle called “Covenant”.
Outside the Warzone Firefight multiplayer niche, the single player campaigns should be something worth looking forward to. There will be the “Score to attack” campaign to try out as well. Other than that, there will also be a new Forge canvass, Tidal which will be available as a map-making tool.
Finally, it should be noted that Microsoft had earlier announced that free expansion offerings will cease after June. With that in mind, Warzone Firefight could be the last free expansion for “Halo 5”. That alone is reason for gamers to seriously get this one for more playing options.
Previous expansions to Halo 5 include that of “The Battle of Shadow and Light”, “Cartographer's Gift“, “Infinity's Armor”, “Hammer Storm”, “Ghosts of Meridian”, “Memories of Reach”, and “Hog Wild”.
