J.K. Rowling dropped another short story on "Harry Potter" official website, Pottermore, called "Magic in North America" on Tuesday. The second installment to the origin of Ilvermorny, the North American Hogwarts, will tell the story of the four houses, which are being compared to the original ones.
However, J.K. Rowling quickly cleared that the four Ilvermorny Houses, Thunderbird, Horned Serpent, Pukwudgie and Wampus, are quite different to Hogwarts' Ravenclaw, Hufflepuff, Slytherin and Gryffindor.
"There is no equivalence between Hogwarts and Ilvermorny Houses," J.K. Rowling wrote on her Twitter page on Wednesday in response when a fan asked if Wampus is like Hufflepuff. She also told the follower not to criticize the said house.

According to Entertainment Weekly, the Ilvermorny Houses really do have some similar features to Hogwarts' Gryffindor, Ravenclaw, Hufflepuff and Slytherin, but it is not yet figured out.
However, each Ilvermorny Houses have a distinctive design for an ideal wizard. As indicated by Pottermore, Thunderbird prefers the adventures and easily recognizes the soul of a wizard.
Horned Serpent gives sympathy to the scholars and symbolizes the minds of a wizard. Pukwudgie converses to the heart of the wizards and approves healer, while Wampus is the body of a wizard and favors warriors.

As per the history of "Magic in North America," Ilvermorny will be built up by Isolt Sayre, the young Irish girl who is the successor of Slytherin imprisoned by her evil aunt and escaped to America on the Mayflower.
During her adventure in the foreign land, she will face a number of magical creatures, Muggles, witches, wizards and will meet a new romance, as per Bustle.
From her unbelievable quest, Isolt will develop the four houses of Ilvermorny, which are also based on the Native American mythology icon.
But unlike Hogwarts, the Ilvermorny Houses won't have the distinct division in regards to the student's personality or skills.
In fact, Ilvermorny apprentices will be sorted can have more than one house and can make their own decisions eventually.
