Brett Ratner Considered to Direct Justice League Movie?

So Nolan's washed his hands of anything to do with Batman now that "The Dark Knight Rises" is over.
Then, there was Ben Affleck. That was shot down.
Then, there was David Yates. But he's busy with Tarzan.
Lately, there's the rumor that the Wachowski bro...siblings, are in the running as well.

And now, in addition to the Wachowskis, Warner Bros. might also be looking at "X-Men: The Last Stand" director Brett Ratner as a potential director for the Justice League movie. A source at supermansupersite.com is alleged to have said, "The studio is very pleased with the work that Brett [Ratner] has done as a producer and director on past projects. They are now very interested in seeing what he can do with helping finally bring this group of iconic superheroes to the big screen!"

With "The Last Stand," Ratner obviously has experience at taking the helm of a super powered team. While "Last Stand" was the highest grossing film of franchise, it arrived to mixed critical reviews, particularly among comic fans. Aintitcool news declared of the movie, "This was shoddy work as a whole...This isn't Superman III bad, it's just a film that never was given the love and nourishment it needed to be complete or whole. It feels like a twitchy abused child of a film. Brett Ratner could have made a better film had he had better time to acquaint himself with the material, better time to hone the material with the writers and the freedom to actually listen to the writers instead of the knuckleheads in charge of that studio."

Warner Bros. has yet to comment on who else is being considered to work on the movie, whether in front of or behind the camera, save that the script is currently being worked on by "Gangster Squad" writer Will Beale.
