'Skyrim: Special Edition' Bethesda's Next-Gen Title

Remastered 'Skyrim' is Bethesda's Next-Gen Title

After it was recently announced that the creation of "The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim" is superficial in certain forms, but downplays the development of such game at the moment, Bethesda now claims, "Skyrim: Special Edition" is currently on the works. Tagged as a remastered version, Skyrim: Special Edition is expected to feature the extremes; on whether to build the game from scratch or re-develop the quality of the existing games with additional modes.

According to BreatheCast, Bethesda's Public Relations and Marketing Vice President Pete Hines said in an interview that "Skyrim: Special Edition" will be the developer's next-gen title. When asked about the amount of work put in the game and whether players can expect an animation overhaul, he simply implied working on the effects and performance of the game, rather than building it scratch. He also cited the amount of time needed to develop "Skyrim: Special Edition" and all its content at the same time as something impossible to do.

Because "Skyrim: Special Edition" is a remaster, Bethesda is exerting the extra effort to make the game equally competitive to other AAA games. Basically, Bethesda is trying to improve a game that has already been there for years; and hoping it will live up to the expectations of their fans, they are concentrating on smaller things and gradually work from there up.

According to the TechnoBuffalo, Skyrim: Special Edition if it succeeds on getting remastered might be one of the most expensive remastered games of all time. Hines also insisted that, the Skyrim remaster will improve in all areas of its gameplay, but loading time has not been one of Hines' strongest convictions when it comes to the development of the game.
