Earlier this month, Todd Howard of Bethesda confirmed that the studio is pushing through with the "The Elder Scrolls 6." However, a recent tweet from the Pete Hines seemed to contradict this announcement.
'The Elder Scrolls 6' Not In Development
According to Gamespot, a recent tweet from Bethesda's Vice-President for PR and Marketing, Pete Hines, contradicted earlier announcements made by director Todd Howard. He told a fan on Twitter that "The Elder Scrolls 6" isn't being worked on at the moment.
PCGamer noted that Todd Howard earlier said that Bethesda is making "The Elder Scrolls 6."
During YouTube's Live at E3 streaming, Howard was quoted saying, "I think it's good to tell our fans in these moments, yes, of course we are."
Given the great success of "The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim," many fans anticipate that Bethesda Game Studios will follow up on another title. However, with Pines revelation, it seems that fans may need to wait a while longer.

Bethesda's Priorities
Pine's revelation about "The Elder Scrolls 6" isn't a clear statement on its development, though. He may have meant that the studio isn't ready yet for a full production but is already in the works in pre-production preparations.
Gamespot noted that pre-productions may take some time before the actual production of the project begins. There's still a possibility that some work may have been started on the unannounced title.
However, given Pine's statement, it sounds that "The Elder Scrolls 6" is far from being done. In fact, Todd Howards, later on, admitted that it will take a lot of time to execute what they have in mind for the game.
The developers can't even give an estimated release date for "The Elder Scrolls 6." Right now, Bethesda is focused on "Elder Scrolls Online," which garnered more than 7 million people since it launched two years ago on PC.
