The latest "Overwatch - Play of the Game" featured the grand plan of Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey) to kill off all her foes in the Season 6 finale of "Game of Thrones."
The "Overwatch" Play of the Game has become quite popular since it started earlier in June 2016, awarding characters for making amazing kills in the same fashion as the actual first-person shooter.
In the "Overwatch" Play of the Game video, which lasted just over 30 seconds, Cersei was initially shown smirking and toasting to her huge victory against the Sparrows, Tyrells and everyone else who humiliated her in the past few seasons. The first character eliminated was Lancel Lannister, who was blasted with wildfire, earning Cersei 100 points.
A long list of names followed, helping the Lady of Casterly Rock gain hundreds of points. Among those eliminated were Margaery Tyrell, Sparrow, Loris, Mace, Kevan and numerous faith militants.
She also garnered more points for the giant bell tower that crushed three innocent civilians. Cersei earned an extra 100 points for the suicide of her son, King Tommen. She should have also gained more by torturing the shame nun.
Polygon reported that Cersei was commended this week for her "Overwatch" Play of the Game. She basically killed everyone in King's Landing, setting the landscape for a massive war among the Lannisters, Starks and Daenerys Targaryen. It was genius for her to use children and the last of the wildfire from the days of King Aerys II to put an end to all her enemies.
The season finale of "Game of Thrones" featured a lot of girl power. If Cersei were a character in "Overwatch," it was only proper to award her with the Play of the Game. She managed to outplay the High Sparrow and Margaery, who have been pressuring her for so long.
Her only regret was the negative impact that blowing everyone up had on her son, Tommen, who ultimately killed himself for the loss. With all her children gone, Cersei ascended to the Iron Throne with her brother and lover Jaime looking on.
Season 7 of "Game of Thrones" is expected to showcase an all-out war among the remaining ladies, namely Cersei, Sansa Stark, Daenerys, Yara Greyjoy, Ellaria Sand and Olenna Tyrell. The Whitewalkers are also expected to stir more trouble for the families soon. Any of them may claim the "Overwatch" Play of the Game when the show returns in spring 2017.
