Mass Effect 3's latest DLC, Leviathan, goes live today, and just in case you weren't sure how to access it, no worries, it's thankfully very simple.
After you buy and download the DLC package, make sure that you check your in-game message terminal. You're looking for the following message titled "Urgent message from Admiral Hackett:"
"Commander, there's an Alliance researcher working on the Citadel named Dr. Garret Bryson. I need you to meet with him right away. Dr. Bryson has uncovered important new information about Reapers that could have direct bearing on the war. I'm officially directing you to support his efforts at the first possible opportunity. Please visit Bryson's laboratory on the Citadel at once."
Bioware released this detailed description of the expansion pack earlier this summer on the developer's web blog. It reads as follows:
Leviathan adds new solar systems and areas in the Citadel for players to explore, as well as two new weapons: the AT-12 Raider Shotgun and the M-55 Argus Assault Rifle. Bioware describes the DLC thusly:
"Something lurks in the dark corners of space, something powerful enough to kill a Reaper. Shepard must discover the most closely guarded secret in the galaxy before the Reapers silence it forever. Discover more about the origins of the Reapers as you race across the galaxy to find the Leviathan. Unravel the dark history of the Reaper Race before it is too late. Coming later this summer there is no war, only the harvest."
Mass Effect 3's DLC, Leviathan, is out now, cost $10 if purchased for the PC or on the PlayStation Network and cost 800 Microsoft Points on Xbox LIVE.
