It's nice that we get a release date for other platforms, so soon after a game's release on the first. Having come out only a few days ago, Namco Bandai has announced that Dark Souls: Prepare to Die edition is coming to consoles Playstation 3 and Xbox 360, on October 26.
From reviews I've read so far, Prepare to Die is aptly named. Reports thecontrolleronline, "The new content starts off in true Dark Souls fashion; with the hardest boss you've ever faced. I'm not kidding, you appear next to a Bonfire (checkpoint), walk a few steps and fight a boss. I should mention that just because you can now access the new content does not mean that your character is ready. I started the new stuff at Soul Level 60 and simply could not beat that first boss."
The new edition adds new territories to explore, new bosses to fight, and weapons to wield, as well as the a previously mentioned, but never before seen character: Artorias the Abysswalker, one of the most accomplished warriors and knights of Lord Gwyn, Dark Souls final boss.
For gamers who want the line blurred between enjoying a challenge and straight up masochism, Dark Souls: Prepare to Die edition is now available on PC.
