Recently, Nino Firetto Casting shared a post on its Facebook page about a casting call for a young Sherlock. Allegedly, this will be for BBC's "Sherlock" Season 4 Episode 3.

"Casting Call for a Young 'Sherlock,'" the post read.
Nino Firetto Casting was looking for a young boy to play as the little "Sherlock," played by Benedict Cumberbatch, for "Sherlock" Season 4.
The kid's role will be a non-speaking one featuring flashbacks scenes of "Sherlock" young life.
According to the Facebook post, the young "Sherlock" must be between 3'6" and 3'9", can act as a 6-year-old kid, with black or brown curly hair and blue eyes.
However, the casting call wrote that it will consider other child auditionees with different hair color if they have the other qualifications and fit for the "Sherlock" role.
Nino Firetto Casting also revealed that "Sherlock" the shooting dates of Season 4 Episode 3 will start on June 27 in Cardiff and will last for about five weeks.
It also added that "Sherlock" Season 4 Episode 3 will be under by the Producer Sue Vertue for Hartswood Films for BBC1 and Director Benjamin Caron.
The Young Boy To Tell 'Sherlock' Family Story
From the fan-made theories, the casting of the young "Sherlock" might be a sign that Season 4 will be about the detective's and his family's story, according to Headlines & Global News.
But, "Sherlock" showrunners, Mark Gatiss and Steven Moffat are still being tight-lipped about Season 4's plot story.
Stevan Moffatt only described "Sherlock" Season 4 "a result of consequences" and "chickens comes to roost."
'Sherlock' Season 4 New Casts
Meanwhile, Game & Guide previously reported that "Sherlock" Season 4 will feature Sacha Dhawan with a not-yet-confirmed-role of AJ.
Aside from that, "Sherlock" Season 4 will also have a new antagonist with Toby Jones as Culverton Smith and dubbed as one of the most dangerous villains made by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.
"Sherlock" Season 4 has no definite or announced air date yet.
