It was the recent E3 2016 event that should highlighted the deals on video game consoles, but top contenders Microsoft and Sony downplayed the latest on their lineup and chose to keep mum about the details of their upcoming hardwares.
Despite Microsoft hyping up the event with the announcement of the Xbox One S console, there hasn't been much information about the PS4 Neo vs. Project Scorpio issue. The Pocket-Lint however, made some important notes on the only information available between the two consoles and so far, they were not as promising as expected. First, the PS4 Neo vs. Project Scorpio can hardly be considered as rivals, not when you can't seem to comprehend whether they will have physical media or plain software update.
The former however leans on the positive side. The PS4 Neo is rumored to offer a 4K HDR gaming; and that's all. Nothing has ever been said about Neo after that. Not even details of its specs, what it will looked like and how will players approach the project.
Project Scorpio on the other hand revealed a much more promising details, but not the idea of getting the complete information gamers want to hear during the event. Plus, the revelation of the Xbox One S somewhat overshadowed the excitement on Project Scorpio.
If it's any give away to reveal some of the rumored specs, Project Scorpio will have a system chip that carries 6 teraflops with 4K resolution. The PS4 neo on the other hand will have 4.14 teraflops of GPU power, GDDR5 memory at 218GB/s.
The IBT said, Project Scorpio will arrive in 2017 while PS4 Neo has an undetermined release date. If you want to know the latest in the video game consoles, make sure to visit GameNGuide, not only will we update you of your video game hardwares, but also the latest on your favorite game releases.
