The official logo for "Justice League" has finally been revealed. Not surprisingly, it looks nothing like the logo from the old comic books. But the official film synopsis suggests that there is a huge threat looming from the sky. And guess what, it's not Darkseid!
'Justice League' Logo Is All About Simplicity And Promises
Warner Bros. recently invited several members of the press for a visit to the "Justice League" set. Slash Film reports that the official "Justice League" logo and synopsis were shared along with a few neat details about the film.
But first, the official "Justice League" logo:

It looks like the DC Extended Universe film has opted for a simple design that also suggests the unification of the superheroes in "Justice League."
The new logo also features a small star which could be a tribute to the old "Justice League" comic books. However, it is still a far cry from the bold, somehow whimsical design of the comic book logos.
'Justice League' Synopsis Teases "Newly Awakened Threat"
Here is an excerpt of the official "Justice League" synopsis:
"Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat.
"But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes-Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash-it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions."
There is a lot of big words thrown in there but the phrase "newly awakened threat" still stands out. Comic Book Resources confirms that this is a reference to Steppenwolf, who had a brief appearance in a deleted "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" scene.
But where is Darkseid? There is a huge possibility that the DC villain will eventually appear in "Justice League." However, the metahumans (and one cosplaying billionaire vigilante) will have to deal with Steppenwolf first.
"Justice League" is scheduled for release on November 17, 2017.
