Twilight Sparkle, Applejack, Pinkie Pie, Rarity, Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash have to move beyond the comforts of Equestria to use the magic of friendship and eliminate the looming danger. The six friends will meet new allies and take on unique challenges as they go on their special quest.

THe new characters in the film will be voiced by Emily Blunt, Liev Schreiber, Taye Diggs, Uzo Aduba, Michael Pena and Kristin Chenoweth.
