Simpsons: Tapped Out By EA is Back On Apple iOS App Store

Electronic Arts released The Simpsons: Tapped Out earlier this year, and promptly removed the game after players experienced an unplayable nightmare.

But now the game is back with many of the issues resolved. Fans of Springfield can rejoice and spend time with their favorite characters, including Homer, Lisa, Apu, Krusty, Cletus and Bart. Gamers can also visit iconic locations like the statue of Jebediah Springfield also known as Hans Sprungfeld.

When the Simpsons: Tapped Out game was released in March, it quickly became the second most popular free iPad app and the third most popular free iPhone app.

Shortly after the launch, the game was pulled from the iOS App Store due to EA's servers being unable to cope with the demand. The game publisher also received abundance of serious complaints from iOS users about the game's problems.

EA official released this statement on their Facebook page.

"To make sure you current players have the best possible experience, we've temporarily removed The Simpsons: Tapped Out from the App Store. Yes, as a current player you can keep playing -- and things should only get better as we make improvements to connectivity. Once we have a solution, we'll return the game to the App Store so new players can join in the fun. Meanwhile, thank you for your patience and support."

The game was a great idea and had exclusive Simpsons cut scenes and fan-favorite characters. Tapped Out is a city-building game in the same vein as Zynga's Farmville. The gameplay centers on a variety of buildings things. The restructure of Springfield is financed with virtual money and/or donuts. As they say on the show, "Who Needs the Kwik E Mart." These items are achieved by completing tasks issued by familiar character of the long running animated series.

The game is available for iPhone and iPod touch, but you need an Internet connection to play. The Simpsons: Tapped Out is also rumored to be heading to the Android market soon.
