'Fallout 4' Latest News, Updates & Gameplay: Beta Issues Found in PS4 Mods

Bethesda admitted that "Fallout 4" Beta for PlayStation 4 is not yet in full force considering some issues on mods particularly on support for custom sounds, issues on the textures, and a limited storage capacity.

On June 16, the creator of the popular RPG admitted through a new mod Creation Kit that there remain a couple of things that need tweaking before Fallout 4 for PS4 is considered 100 percent at full capacity. Among the fixes included in the update is the Steam-linking requirement as well as some optimization and bugs.

Apparently, the current mod Creation Kit still do not support custom sound files but Bethesda assured users that they are working double time with PlayStation to fix the issue. Also, the current mod of "Fallout 4" for PS4 is currently limited to only 900 MB which could lead to a couple of performance problems as the game for Xbox One has a 2 GB limit, according to Game Spot.

This memory is far too small but Bethesda said that they are working with PlayStation to increase this limit to achieve full gaming experience. Then, there is the issue on textures from the PC version of the game which can also lead to poor performance of the game.

Previously, mod for the game on Xbox One had similar concerns but was later fixed after a couple of weeks with the help of the console developer. With all these, Bethesda assured that "Fallout 4" for PS4 is "close to ready" and would be up and running way ahead of its release later in June.

Aside from these fixes, Express UK revealed that fans of "Fallout 4" would soon enjoy more features in the game starting June 21 when Bethesda rolls out "Contraptions" which includes tinkering tools such as scaffolding kits, conveyer belts, track kits, and other complex gadgets to improve settlements in Wasteland.
