The world of "Game of Thrones" is always brimming with fan theories. There are speculations about Bran Stark's ultimate role in Westeros as well as beliefs that Daenerys Targaryen is just as mad as her father King Aerys.
Some fan theories are more ridiculous than the others. However, there appears to be a new "Game of Thrones" theory that will simply blow everything up like wildfire on Stannis Baratheon's ships.
The fan theory was posted on Reddit because where else can anyone find these fun theories? Redditor Geicho is suggesting that "Game of Thrones" Season 6 Episode 9 will not just be about Jon Snow and Ramsay Bolton.
"Battle of the Bastards" will also put the spotlight on two of Robert Baratheon's sons.
Well, at least just one of them is Robert's son, anyway. According to Geicho, Robert's long-lost son Gendry will finally row his boat back into "Game of Thrones."
At Cersei's upcoming trial, Gendry will allegedly be forced to testify that King Tommen Baratheon is not Robert's son.
In addition to that, he will confirm that Tommen is actually the product of the twincestuous relationship of Cersei and Jaime Lannister.
Oh, and Gendry will also be revealed as Robert Baratheon's true, albeit illegitimate heir. So move over, Tommen, give Gendry his Iron Throne.
This certainly sounds like a theory that Gendry's fans will approve of. Perhaps Gendry will even choose to marry Arya Stark (who is now on her way back to Westeros) and give Gendrya shippers something to look forward to in "Game of Thrones."
So will Gendry challenge Tommen in "Game of Thrones" Season 6 Episode 9? It's still highly unlikely since "Battle of the Bastards" is the pivotal ninth episode of Season 6.
Episode 9 of the "Game of Thrones" series is usually reserved for epic events that take place in one particular location, like "Blackwater" in King's Landing or "The Rains of Castamere" in the Twins.
Most recently, "Hardhome" from "Game of Thrones" Season 5 put the focus on the wildling village close to The Wall.
Sure, Gendry's return is something everyone would like to see in "Game of Thrones" Season 6. After all, he can't possibly row that boat forever, right?
However, the big action is most likely to happen in Winterfell, where it's time for "Jon Snow v Ramsey Bolton: Dawn of Sansa Stark's Revenge."
If the faceoff between Gendry and Tommen will ever happen, it might take place during Cersei's trial in the "Game of Thrones" Season 6 finale.
"Game of Thrones' Season 6 Episode 9 airs on HBO on June 19.
