'Batman v Superman' Ultimate Cut Reveals Lex Luthor, Harley Quinn 'Suicide Squad' Connection?

The highly anticipated "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice - Ultimate Cut" had an early release, and fans are already coming up with several theories. Did the longer R-rated cut of "Batman v Superman" just confirm Lex Luthor's connection to "Suicide Squad?"

ComicBook reported about the early release of "Batman v Superman - Ultimate Cut," revealing that copies were made available by Best Buy. But before everyone rushes for Best Buy, the copies were pre-ordered and immediately sold out.

The "Ultimate Cut" featured Jena Malone's deleted scene. It was previously rumored that the "Hunger Games" star will play Barbara Gordon.

However, Jena Malone turned out to be a S.T.A.R. Labs employee who helps Lois Lane (Amy Adams) learn more about her mystery bullet.

The "Batman v Superman - Ultimate Cut" had several new scenes. But the most intriguing part of the cut was the longer jail scene featuring Lex Luthor (Jesse Eisenberg) and Batman (Ben Affleck).

In the longer jail scene, Lex Luthor reveals he knows Batman's true identity. However, he also points out that no one would believe him.

Nevertheless, Batman isn't taking any chances. He tells Lex that the villain will be sent to Gotham's Arkham Asylum, where Batman's friends are waiting for him. Yikes!

Was Arkham Asylum just randomly mentioned in "Batman v Superman?" Obviously, nothing is random for director Zack Snyder.

Lex Luthor being sent to Arkham would place him in the exact same location where Margot Robbie's Harley Quinn is when "Suicide Squad" begins.

So does this mean Lex Luthor will appear in "Suicide Squad?" There is a possibility that the character will be mentioned in the David Ayer film.

This should neatly tie "Suicide Squad" to "Batman v Superman" without too much mention of "Justice League."

"Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice - Ultimate Cut" will be available in Blu-Ray and DVD by July.
