“Fast and Furious 8” is still in the production stages with filming taking place simultaneously across different regions. While the stars are busy working on their scripts, stunts that include cars are likewise in focus on other sets.
While Cleveland did show off some exploding cars, “Fast and Furious 8” automotive guru Dennis McCarthy teases a bit via Facebook the car lineup that fans should look forward too.
Termed as “Automotive Valhalla”, the collection includes souped up luxury cars which (per script) will be part of a backstory involving seized private collections of drug kingpins via Screen Rant.
While the cars to be used for “Fast and Furious 8” seem abundant, there was no clear hint on who among Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel) and his gang would be driving which. Toretto is likely to be behind the wheels of one of them, maybe even Michelle Rodriguez too.
McCarthy adds that the collection’s worth is about $17 million which is more expensive compared to the previous sequels that appeared. The first one had a lot to show off, highlighted by the Toretto gang’s two-door black Honda Civics.
As in previous films, “Fast and Furious 8” will also showcase other stuff like helicopters, motorcycles and boats, all likely to be part of the chase scenes and twists for getaways and some kind of defense in the film.
In “Fast and Furious 7”, viewers may want to recall that scene that involved military vehicles used and eventually souped up with some bullet-proof parts.
For “Fast and Furious 8”, it is likely that the same will be used as well seeing how Toretto and company will be up against a military mad man (and woman) in “Deckard Shaw” (Jason Statham) and new villain “Cipher” (Charlize Theron).
“Fast and Furious 8” hits theatres on April 17, 2017 with the story taking place first in New York per Movie Web. It will also include spots covering regions such as Cleveland, Cuba and Iceland.
