During the Microsoft E3 2016 press conference, Ubisoft shared some details about Tom Clancy’s “The Division” Underground DLC. The new content pack will feature a new setting and endless battles.
“The Division” Underground DLC was inspired by the new environment which will bring agents deep beneath the streets of New York City. There will be randomly generated missions that will take players to subway tunnels where the fight allegedly never stops.
IGN noted that “The Division” Underground is the first of three paid DLC expansion packs announced to be released. The second pack is called Survival, which offers a completely new approach to play the game. Survival will feature familiar elements from the survival category to the game, which will require players to search for food, adapt to various external conditions and deal with threats. The second DLC is set to launch in summer 2016. The third DLC, Last Stand, is slated to release in winter 2016.
VG247 revealed that “The Division” Underground was announced at Microsoft’s press conference at E3 2016. It was again announced at Ubisoft’s event. According to the game developers, Underground will showcase new loot and features. Gamers will move through the deep sewers, tunnels and subways of the Big Apple, with random layouts respectively. There will be a new Incursion in the new content pack called Dragon’s Nest.
It will reportedly be larger compared to past updates. Dragon’s Nest is set in Hell’s Kitchen. The main enemy will the Cleaners, who will set out on their dangerous and reckless attempts to destroy the virus and get it away from the location.
The trailer presented some of the scenes in “The Division” Underground, particularly agents battling enemies in tunnels. They will have to strategize and familiarize themselves with the dark and cumbersome environment to survive. Players will also deal with subway trains, pipes, holes and other threats that litter the area. The new DLC requires agents to work in dark situations most of the time and make use of their weapons and accessories in a new way. The Incursion is expected to bring more excitement to the game, together with the randomly generated missions.
According to Polygon, “The Division” Underground DLC will release on Xbox One first on June 28, 2016, due to the exclusivity agreement between Ubisoft and Microsoft. Pre-downloading will begin on June 25. The content pack will become available to PlayStation 4 and Windows PC after one month, on August 2. More updates and details are expected soon.
