“Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy XV” the movie is set to launch in select movie houses in the United States. The film will become available on Blu-ray and Digital in fall 2016.
“Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy XV” was announced at the Uncovered Final Fantasy XV special live stream by Square Enix. The movie is supposed to help explain the events that happened outside the story of Noctis. It focuses on the peace treaty signed in the Kingdom of Lucis and the devious plan by Nilfheim to possess the Crystal of the kingdom.
A new behind-the-scenes trailer of “Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy XV” was featured, showing some of the things to expect in the computer-animated feature film. The film is made by the collaborative effort between Square Enix and Sony Pictures Home Entertainment. It will be fully CG-animated and will be shown around the globe as a cross-media project with the upcoming video game “Final Fantasy XV.”
Twinfinite said that the trailer for “Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy XV” presented an emotional story and beautiful visuals. The video showcased the vibrant graphics and motion capturing technology used in making the film. The plot which centers on the battle for power between the kingdom and empire was featured, as well as other features in the movie, like the different environments, cybernetic soldiers of Nilfheim and strange creatures.
IGN noted that “Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy XV” will feature talented voice actors, such as Sean Bean, Lena Headey and Aaron Paul, among others. Bean will play King Regis of Lucis, who commands a special group of soldiers known as the Kingsglaive. Paul plays Nyx, a soldier and member of the Kingsglaive who uses King Regis’ magic to protect Lucis. Headey will play Princess Lunafreya of Tenebrae, a captive of Nilfheim.
The official synopsis for “Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy XV” stated that the sacred Crystal is housed in the magical kingdom of Lucis. Niflheim, another strong empire led by Emperor LedolasAldercapt, however, is planning to steal it. Subsequently, King Regis will be placed in a difficult situation to have his son, Prince Noctis, marry Princess Lunafreya and give up his lands to Nilfheim. The King later concedes, but the empire will apparently continue with their evil objective. Only the Kingsglaive remains to stop them from dominating the entire world.
“Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy XV” will launch in select theaters on Aug. 19, 2016. More updates and details on the plot and cast are expected soon.
