TV viewers who followed “Narcos” season one can look forward to more dark tales following Netflix’s announcement that the gripping drama based on the life of Colombian drug lord “Pablo Escobar” will be returning for a second season this September.
Netflix made the announcement via video teaser released Monday, which should see Escobar on the run. Season one of “Narcos” saw Escobar escaping from prison so the second season should kick off seeing the drug lord trying to avoid the law per USA Today.
Returning will be Wagner Moura to reprise his role as the drug magnate along with stars that appeared in the first season. Among the regulars that appeared at the time included Boyd Holbrook as Drug Enforcement Administration agent Steve Murphy and Pedro Pascal as Javier Peña via Ubergizmo.
While the second season will see Escobar on the run, fans are expected to witness more drug trade and violence starting September 2. All 10 episodes of the second season are likely to be available by this time.

Will it be Escobar’s End?
While season 2 should be something to look forward to, there is the plot that should be pretty interesting to catch. Outside the fact that Escobar will try to weasel his way past the law, will it be the drug lord’s end?
The Daily Mail offers a pretty interesting take based on the released video. It sees Pablo walking slowly towards the camera after which his figure multiplies into three. One by one, numbers crop up showing “12.01.49” which is actually his birthday.
From there, a new set of numbers appear “12.02.93” the date when Escobar was killed by the Colombian authorities. Could these dates hint at his eventual demise? If so, does it mean that the second season will “finally” be the last?
