Despite the success of "Hunter x Hunter," latest reports have speculated of the anime franchise on the losing edge. Owing to the rumored hiatus on the rise, it has led to fans raising their radars and questioning the hiatus as well.
The rumored hiatus is not a new one for "Hunter x Hunter" because ever since, the anime series has gained much scrutiny owing to the series on constant pause.
For one, "Hunter x Hunter" that was released last 2011 revealed Gon and Ging as they met for the first time, reports Hofmag.

The moment was a popular one and owing to its popularity, it has resulted into fans demanding more stories to be embedded on the Shonen Weekly Jump.
Along that line, demands kept pouring in and the author of "Hunter x Hunter" answered the demand by releasing Chapter 350.
Nevertheless, it remains uncertain on whether the manga's return was truly a successful one because the time and story are somewhat not connected.
According to the same post, "Hunter x Hunter" storyline was centered on the Hunter Association Council and revealed varying characters as well.
Moreover, the series was also depicting the Machiavellian death battle in order to gain the throne. "Hunter x Hunter" return was not that strong in terms of the storyline connecting Gon and his friends.
Also, rumors of Togashi's struggle to keep the story together arise. On a different note, Game & Guide reports of how the series gained much positive results owing to the fight between Chrollo and Hisoka.

It is undeniable that "Hunter x Hunter" and its legacy is a strong one but the recent updates and storylines are pushing the series to a losing edge.
It is irrefutable that Togashi is a genius in his own way but if the storyline keeps on turning to a different path, the rumored hiatus might become a reality in the long run.
