"Game of Thrones" Season 6 is making no secret about what will happen in Episode 9. It has just been revealed that the ninth episode will be titled "Battle of the Bastards." This definitely confirms that Jon Snow will finally go into battle with Ramsey (formerly Snow) Bolton to win back Winterfell.
But who will be the main casualties? There are speculations that Rickon Stark will not see the end of the Battle of the Bastards!
Is Rickon Stark Still Ramsey Bolton's Prisoner In Winterfell?
In "Game of Thrones" Season 6 Episode 3, Rickon Stark was brought to Winterfell as a gift from Smalljon Umber to Ramsey Bolton. However, it looked like Ramsey didn't kill Rickon Stark straight away.
It was a curious move, especially since Ramsey has just casually killed his father, step mother and half-brother to claim the title as Lord of Winterfell.
Does this mean Ramsey has other plans for Rickon? An old "Game of Thrones" Season 6 rumor might finally be confirmed (via Newsweek).
What Will Happen To Rickon Stark?
In October, Watchers on the Wall reported that the Battle for Winterfell will feature a disturbing display from Ramsey Bolton.
The new Lord of Winterfell is said to make a real-life Bolton sigil, which features a flayed man. The reports state that there will be a few X crosses posted outside the castle.
Unfortunately, these crosses will bear flayed men who have been crucified upside down. In addition to that, the people on the crosses are known characters.
There are only a few known characters who are currently in Winterfell. There is Smalljon Umber, the Karstarks and ... well, there is Rickon Stark.
Will Ramsey Bolton make a bold move and crucify the youngest Stark to spite Jon Snow? He is definitely capable of just about anything (including killing a baby) so there is a huge possibility that Rickon might end up on one of those crosses.
Can Jon Snow save Rickon Stark from a terrible death? "Game of Thrones" Season 6 Episode 9 will air on HBO on June 19.
