Capcom announced that the publisher's new action title Remember Me will be release in May, 2013 for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC. The game originally went by the code name of Adrift back in 2011.
Remember Me focuses on a female protagonist by the name of Nilin, a former elite memory hunter, who has given up her past to work for a humane cause. She is now part of a group of rebels called the Errorist, who fight against a corporation called Memoreyes in Neo-Paris during the year 2084. The neon lights and desolate landscapes seen in the game's trailer conjure images of Ridely Scott's 1982 motion picture Blade Runner.
So does the game's plot of rebels versus a corporation. In the game's near-future, human beings are implanted with Sensation Engines, a device that records memories, so that they can be traded or exchanged on an online marketplace. Memoryeyes is the corporation is charge of the operation of memory exchanges.
Nilin possess a unique ability called the Memory Remix. The power allows her to alter the memories of others. She has been task with a mission that requires her to remix the memories of the Memoreye's security captains, Frank Forlan, according to an early demo of the game.
The game is being developed by new French studio Dontnod entertainment, the new studio is composed of ex-Criterion, Ubisoft and EA staff members.
