"Unique things." Such was the cryptic portion of a tweet delivered from Stuart Ross, developer at 4J Studios, concerning the upcoming update for the Xbox edition of the famed Minecraft.
What sort of unique things? Unfortunately, Ross has elected to remian cryptic about that bit. However, he did go on to give a few more details about the update. "We're working on the 1.8.2 update, and deciding what to bring forward from 1.9 and beyond," announced the official 4J Studios feed this morning. The team also confirmed there is, "Many weeks of work to do yet, so [the update] is not out soon."
What to expect from the update:
* Your world will not be deleted when the update goes live, but you will need to start again to access all of the new structures.
* Ender Pearls have made the cut, but unlike the PC version, you won't be able to use them for teleportation purposes.
* Creative Mode will be included in the update. Ross noted 4J are still working out the best way to implement this much-anticipated feature. Said Ross, "We haven't decided what the Creative menu will be like, but it probably won't be like the 1.8 one with the large scrolling menu. It will be something that isn't too cumbersome to use with a controller."
Anything else? According to Ross, "There may be some new features in the next update...but you might not notice There will probably be more unique things in the future, yes."
