Grab a peek at Halo 4's Magnum, battle rifle, the single shot DMR, rocket launcher, shotgun, sniper rifle, sticky detonator, SAW, Spartan laser, and a classic for FPS deathmatches, the Railgun. Quick spoiler, as the title of the trailer denotes, all the weapons seen in the trailer are UNSC property, meaning no new Covenant weapons, and even more unfortunate, no forerunner weapons we've only seen glimpses of.
Old standbys are great, but new weapons are always a bit more exciting, which two of the guns seen in the trailer are: the railgun, and sticky detonator.
According to 343 industries, the new railgun, or the "Asymmetric Recoilless Carbine-920," will require a charge time, similar to the Spartan Laser. As seen in the trailer, it's capable of long shots across the battlefield, but shots require skill, as there's no scope. It's also capable of providing a good defense against oncoming vehicles. A single shot knocks them aside with ease.
The sticky detonator, or "M363 Remote Projectile Detonator" looks similar to the Covenant's sticky plasma grenade, but will allow players to detonate the explosive at a time of their choosing. You might remember Master Chief using this weapon to rip a hole in the Forward Unto Dawn in the Halo 4 announcement trailer.
Halo 4 will be released on November 6 for the Xbox 360.
