E! News confirmed through multiple sources that Taylor Swift and Calvin Harris, real name Adam Wiles, are finally done. After dating for almost a year and a half, the couple reportedly broke up last week.
According to the source, the separation was not dramatic. Rather, it was done in a very mature fashion. No big fight happened when Calvin Harris broke up his relationship with Taylor Swift.
Though admittedly the pop singer was pretty upset; Taylor Swift remained in communication with Calvin Harris. Swift was also supportive of Harris when he had an accident last May 20.
The reason why the duo broke up? The romance just wasn't there anymore, the source said.
Before The Break Up
PEOPLE , the first to report about the breakup, added that there was no third party involved when they separated. The pair even celebrated their one-year anniversary last March with a tropical getaway.
As an anniversary gift, Calvin Harris gave Taylor Swift a gold heart-shaped locket engraved with the date 3-6-2015, undoubtedly their anniversary date.
Earlier this year, Taylor Swift shared with Vogue that her relationship at that moment was simply magical. She also revealed that she wanted their relationship to be low-key, an aspect in her life that she wanted to keep from the public.
Instead of interviews in TVs or magazines, Taylor Swift and Calvin Harris used their social media to update their fans of their love story.
