Player ratings in the Madden videogame franchise are always a heated topic of discussion among fans of the series. EA Sports recently released the top ten rated running backs in this year's version of the game, Madden NFL '13.
The rating are not without controversy as a few runningbacks rated in the top ten are coming back from serious injuries. The development team doesn't seem too worried about Minnesota's Adrian Peterson and his surgically repaired knee. The game has Peterson rated a 97 overall and tied with last season's NFL rushing leader Maurice Jones-Drew. Another surprise is Kansas City Chief's runningback Jamal Charles, who only dropped from a 95 to 91 in this year's game despite missing all of last season with a torn ACL.
Last year's cover athlete, Peyton Hillis is no longer in the top ten and will likely see last year's generous rating of a 91 drop. Another former top ten back that has declined isTennessee Titan Chris Johnson, who was rated a 96 in last year's Madden, but has dropped out of top ten this season.
