OnePlus has made it official that the OnePlus 3 will be officially debuting in China on June 15 though a quick look at the time difference (U.S.) would technically be on June 14.
Regardless, the important thing is that the OnePlus 3 is coming and a look over at the company site reveals the actual invitation that bears the time and date and capped by a large gradient-desgined number “3” up front.
While the OnePlus 3’s launch has been confirmed, the specs that it will offer are still reliant on the rumors which have come out backed by leaked photos coming no less from reliable tipster, “Evan Blass”.

As far as the rumored specs of the OnePlus 3 is concerned, the upcoming flagship will feature a 5.5-inch full HD screen (1920x1080), rely on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 SoC, 4 GB of RAM (a 6 GB variant will be reportedly available as well), 32 GB of internal storage, a 16 MP main camera and a front-facing 8 MP selfie-shooter.
The OnePlus 3 will bank on a 3,000 mAh battery and is likely to come with Android 6.0 Marshmallow on board rather than Android N which has yet to be officially released. It will come in an all-aluminum design that somehow calls to mind the HTC One M9.
Will the OnePlus 3 improve on the OnePlus 2?
Ideally, a successor like the OnePlus 3 will come with heavy anticipation. This means that the upcoming flagship will likely address the shortcoming of its predecessor, the OnePlus 2.
Gone are the “flagship killer” brag and the dreaded “invite-system” that the company has adapted on their previous phones which may signal a new tactic that would give other brands (i.e. OP2, Galaxy Note or iPhone) some competition.
The notable changes on the OnePlus 3 from the OnePlus 2 covers a better display, an expected bump in chipset and of course the anticipated jump in quality for both the rear and front cameras.
There is no official word yet on how much the OnePlus 3 would cost though many believe that the SRP will not go over $400 with past releases as references.
