Studio Wildcard has pushed back the release date for "ARK: Survival Evolved" from the initial June 2016 release to this year's holiday season. Even though fans and gamers alike will have to wait for several months more, the developers promised more exciting features and content added into the game.
"ARK: Survival Evolved" has recently been the talk-of-the-town after details of its additional features, official mods program, new creatures and upcoming biome expansions were published online.
Aside from that, "ARK: Survival Evolved" have also launched two latest updates to the game's Xbox One console server, as per Parent Herald.
'ARK: Survival Evolved' 242 Update and Release Date
This June, "ARK: Survival Evolved" is reportedly getting a major update from Studio Wildcard.
According to Daily Express, "ARK: Survival Evolved" 242 update is set to be launched on Wednesday, June 1. The latest patch is expected to bring several exciting gameplay improvement and tweaks.
'ARK: Survival Evolved' New Dinosaurs Plus Biome Major Update
The latest "ARK: Survival Evolved" 242 update is bringing in some brand new dinosaurs into the game. In fact, Diplodocus and Leech are the new creatures added in "ARK: Survival Evolved," but comprehensive minutiae about the brand new dinos are yet to be revealed.
As for the reported biome patch, "ARK: Survival Evolved" 242 update will launch a large environmental change called the Redwood Forest expansion on the Snow Biome.
However, the Redwood Trees in the latest "ARK: Survival Evolved" expansion can't be harvested because of its massive size, only hinting the potential of the trees to be created as treehouses in the future, Mobile & Apps notes.
'ARK: Survival Evolved' 242 Update; Other Gameplay Improvements
Aside from new creatures and the Redwood Forest expansion, "ARK: Survival Evolved" 242 update will also bring a new mechanic known as "Permanent Diseases & Cures."
In addition, there are also added server options for PvE servers, overriding per-Item Crafting costs and loot tables as well as limiting Tribe Groups members.
E3 2016 Plans
In other related news, Studio Wildcard has recently unveiled its plans on the upcoming Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3 2016) on June 14 to 16.
As announced by the "ARK" developer, both "ARK: Survival Evolved" and its sequel, the multiplayer online survival arena (MOSA), "ARK: Survival of the Fittest," will be unveiled at the E3 2016 event.
