“Halo 5’s” second free DLC expansion for the month is officially out with the release of “Hog Wild REQ Drop”. The latest free DLC comes after “Memories of Reach” which came out in early May.
“Halo 5: Hog Wild” will offer players tons of new goodies which include the “Warthogs”, new armor sets, hybrid weapons more. While those goodies are something to look forward to, there will unfortunately be no multiplayer maps included.
“Warthog vehicles” should be something to check out with the latest “Halo 5” DLC offering new ones. That includes the Legendary Vespin Rocket Warthog and the Rare Sword Needler Warthog.
Aside from that, the new armors available for “Halo 5” will be another thing to watch out for. Among the new armor sets gamers can get to try include the “Stinger Armor” and “Interceptor Rictus”.
New weapons are also in tow and players can see how much damage the new items can render. Among the weapons available include an “Uncommon Hybrid” and “Ultra Rare Aurum” range.
Overall, the “Halo 5: Hog World” DLC seems a bit thin when compared to previous expansions though much of that was due to lack of time polishing the ‘bigger’ items that were supposed to be included with the latest DLC.
The good news is that those larger items that need fine-tuning may still come out by June when 343 Industries releases the “Warzone Firefight” expansion for “Halo 5”.
Regardless, 343 Industries has so far given “Halo 5” gamers their fair share of DLCs to offer new things to look forward to. That includes some adjustments on the difficulty levels on campaigns to raise the bar as far as challenges are concerned.
“Halo5: Hog Wild” is the sixth free expansion from 343 Industries. Other freebies include “The Battle of Shadow and Light” (November), “Cartographer's Gift” (December), “Infinity's Armor” (January), “Hammer Storm” (February), “Ghosts of Meridian” (April), and “Memories of Reach” (May).
