The Android smartwatch is a rising niche in the market and most leading brands have their own variant for consumers to choose from. Everyone that is except for HTC which has yet to enter the smartwatch niche which may have to wait until the Fall.
Word of such comes no less from reliable tipster Evan Blass via Twitter, revealing the HTC has once again pushed back any planned release of an HTC smartwatch. The development is nothing new considering HTC has done it before.
What a clusterf***: HTC wearable bumped again, to the fall. Hurry up, HTC, before people realize that they don't really need these products.

No specific reason has been mentioned for now on why HTC has moved the launch date of their HTC smartwatch though it may be tied up to the updates made on the Android Wear platform.
The changes for the Android Wear platform were made at the recent Google I/O conference though there is no telling if that is indeed the real reason behind the delay. It should be noted that while HTC has released fitness-related devices, the company has yet to toss their ticket in the smartwatch segment.
To rewind a bit, word of a potential HTC smartwatch hit the air way back last year when the HTC One M9 was launched. Ironically, it was Blass as well who spilled the beans on a potential coming which dates back to April before the supposed June 6 coming.
Small consolation, HTC fans: you'll be able to pick up the watch before the end of April. — Evan Blass (@evleaks) February 11, 2016
Aside from the possible Android Wear changes angle, it is also possible that HTC may be setting things in perspective. It is possible that the HTC smartwatch is not at the top of the list with the company still studying the market acceptance for the niche and the potential it carries moving forward.
Compared to smartphones and tablets, waiting on consumer reception seems to be a more reasonable justification with HTC opting to put more focus on their other better performing products.
As far as HTC’s smartwatch plans is concerned, specs are technically tied up to rumors. That includes a 360 x 360 round display similar to the Huawei Watch and something that will likely depend on a Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 2100 chip.
