There are rumors that the LG G Flex 3 will finally release in 2016. The company will reportedly introduce the long-rumored smartphone at IFA 2016.
The LG G Flex 3 is said to come with some powerful features, such as a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, 4GB of RAM, 32GB or 64GB of storage, expandable via the SD slot, and a 5.5-inch Quad HD display. There are claims that the LG G Flex 3 will showcase a modular build, which allows it to support the same "G5 Friends" modules.
Techno Buffalo stated that the LG G Flex 3 may also feature dual rear cameras. One will have 16 megapixels, while the second will have 8 megapixels. There may also be an 8-megapixel front camera.
According to Phone Spot, LG is the first company to release flexible smartphones. So far, the Korean maker has launched two Flex smartphones, the LG G Flex and LG G Flex 2. The two phones featured great specifications and innovative features, but received lukewarm reviews from users.
The LG G Flex 2 was the first Android 5.0 Lollipop smartphone that came with the Snapdragon 810 processor. It had a "self-healing" approach that many users found advantageous. The new LG G Flex 3 will be faster if it actually comes with the more powerful Snapdragon 820 SoC. The claims about the screen size varied in the past months. One claims that it will arrive with a 5.6-inch 2K display, while another suggests that it will feature a 6-inch QHD display. The LG G Flex 3 will more likely arrive with a curved 5.5-inch Full HD P-OLED display.
There are also rumors that the LG G Flex 3 will feature a twin main camera with 20.7/21 megapixels, as well as an 8-megapixel front shooter. The 820 chip will allegedly be supported by 4GB of RAM. The LG G Flex 3 will include 32GB of internal storage with microSD support, which is another plus for users who prefer to keep a lot of data. Other rumors say that the smartphone may include a Snapdragon 830 chip and 6GB of RAM.
Tech Radar speculated that the LG G Flex 3 will come with high-tech features like an iris scanner or fingerprint scanner. A number of companies are eyeing on introducing iris scanners in smartphones, so the LG G Flex 3 may be the first to actually have the feature.
The LG G Flex 3 may retail at around $769. More details about the LG G Flex 3 are expected to be unveiled at IFA 2016 in Berlin, Germany.
