BioWare announced the launch of its Leviathan and Firefight DLC for "Mass Effect 3."
Leviathan DLC is a single-player and story-driven game that unravels during the events of Mass Effect 3. The task is to find Leviathan, appearing as a Reaper that has to be used in the battle for the galaxy. Your attempt in finding Leviathan will enlighten you on the "dark history" of the Reapers and we get a peep at their origins.
Leviathan unlocks new maps of the Citadel for exploration adding new weapons (AT-12 Raider shotgun and M-55 Argus Assault Rifle) and new characters. According to BioWare, the DLC will be made available later this summer for a price of $10 in PC, PS3, and Xbox 360.
The other DLC, Firefight is less extensive than Leviathan. Firefight is a weapons pack, it adds seven new weapons with two weapons with a designation of "powerful" and the other five being "bonus weapons." This DLC will be available before Leviathan on PS3, PC, and Xbox 360 costing $2. I will be released on Aug 7.
BioWare also announced that "Mass Effect 3" will be a Wii U launch title. Though the dates for Wii U launch is unknown, BioWare assures that "Mass Effect 3" will be available when Wii U is launched.
The Wii U version will have new controls to fit Wii U gaming and will feature a bonus DLC and an Extended Cut, an Interactive back story covering previous events in the Mass Effect universe.
