Recent news and updates regarding the "Naruto Shippuden" manga series revealed the threat that continues to loom in Naruto's era, owing to the threat that the Otsutsuki clan has brought forth. Moreover, notions of the upcoming "Borotu" legacy weaker than his father's heritage arise.
In terms of legacies and prowess, the "Naruto" franchise has remained dominant in many years. Along that line, despite the rising competition, the Naruto series has weathered the tides. The storyline progresses deeper with Naruto's son revealed in the manga line. Christian Times reports of the varying storyline that were revealed in the series of "Naruto Shippuden."
It conveyed the past lives and how the ninja world evolved through time and space. Also, it disclosed the legacy and power of Otsutsuki Kaguya along with her craziness to claim all of chakra to herself.
Based on the manga version of "Naruto," Kaguya returned to power when Zetsu betrayed Madara in order to revive Kaguya. Although Kaguya's mere appearance rendered concerns, Naruto's ninja way is anticipated to reign over all. For episodes 460 and 461 of "Naruto Shippuden," the world stood still as synopsis of Kaguya and her two sons, Hagoromo and Hamura were revealed.
On a different note, as Naruto struggled with the enemies at hand, his future son is dealing with a battle he may not win. As mentioned by the same post, the sequel of "Boruto" happens in the future. Also, the first few pages of the chapter revealed how Boruto prepped himself to fight against another noted character named Kawaki. The new threat also rendered of what is to come and the ninja world facing demise just like, the Seventh Hokage's (Naruto Uzumaki) death.

It stands to reason that despite the rising scrutiny for the "Naruto" franchise, the recent updates clearly implied of more enemies underway, and more thrilling excitements to look out for. However, it remains uncertain on whether the "Boruto" series could outrun and outpower the legacy that the "Naruto" franchise have built over the years.
