OnePlus CEO Pete Lau tries to up the attention a bit by saying that the upcoming OnePlus 3 is “feels good to hold”. The remarks have left many clueless though some believe that such is nothing more than spurring up hype for the OnePlus 3’s coming.
OnePlus is expected to unveil its next flagship phone, the OnePlus 3 reportedly on May 28 and so far rumors have been the only ones to turn to when it comes to what the next OnePlus flagship will carry.
OnePlus CEO Pete Lau does have an interesting tease posted on Weibo, revealing that the OnePlus 3 will be something that feels good to hold. While many wonder on what Lau exactly meant by it, the obvious is that he is hyping up something concerning the said device’s external aesthetics.
All this may be somehow tied up with a leak from reliable tipster Evan Blass (@evleaks). Blass posted on Twitter showing images of the upcoming OnePlus flagship sporting a metal unibody.

There are noticeable iterations as well such as the deletion of the signature sandstone back cover and the glass solution many may associated with the OnePlus X. Instead, the OnePlus 3 offers a pure, naked and smooth shell which is likely why Lau referred to it as something ideal for a user’s grip.
Other than that, interest on the OnePlus 3 is of course important as well on what it has inside. The OnePlus flagship will feature a 5.5-inch 1080p display and turn to a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 SoC. The OnePlus 3 will reportedly have 4 GB and 6 GB variants available, a 16 MP main camera and a front-facing 8 MP shooter.
Power needs for the OnePlus 3 will be managed by a 3,000 mAh battery while also including other perks like a USB Type-C port, a fingerprint scanner and a slew of connectivity features like 4G LTE, NFC and VoLTE. On the operating side, the OnePlus 3 will come with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow out of the box.
