Huawei has finally managed to find a way to have the MediaPad M2 10.0 come out in the UK by way of Currys. In what looks like an exclusive deal, the MediaPad M2 10.0 is now available for about £249.99 ($391).
With a lot of tablets to choose from these days, Huawei is perhaps the last thing that comes to mind compared to the ones offered by Apple and Samsung. Just the same, this Android-powered tablet from Huawei could be come in handy though it depends on the consumer buyer.
Long overdue coming
The Huawei MediaPad M2 10.0 was last seen at the CES 2016 back in January and it is only now that the device has invaded UK waters. Though that should be good news for folks over in the UK, the hitch is that the one available at Currys may be only the 16 GB Silver model for now.
Back in January, there were two color options to choose from as well as different storage configurations. It is possible that those options could follow suit.
The featured specs
For those who are unfamiliar with the MediaPad M2, the tablet carries some resemblance to the Huawei Mate. That includes a tablet offering a metallic exterior at the back. Up front is a 10-inch FHD IPS display complimented by a physical button integrated with a fingerprint scanner.
Inside, the MediaPad M2 will buck on features that include a Kirin 930 SoC, 2 GB of RAM, 16 GB of internal storage (expandable via microSD), a 13 MP main camera, a 5 MP front-facing camera and a 6,600 mAh battery for its power needs. The device will be armed with Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box.
There were some who were hoping to see an “M-Pen” stylus but it looks like Huawei has limited that feature to the gold model.
The Huawei MediaPad M2 10.0 is a device for the ones merely looking at something to aid them in daily chores, not to mention one that carries a reasonable price for the ones working on a certain budget.
