Some people are just dedicated, really committed. Some may call it borderline insane, but not here. One of those people is "CorvairGrim," who custom built one hell of an impressive setup, specifically for the release of MechWarrior Online. Check it out below!
The whole thing was built from scratch, and beyond Mech games, the "pit" also works great for racing games.
The monitors themselves are 28" and set up with AMD Eyefinity, allowing games to span across all three monitors, giving a wider field of view. The pit also features some pretty impressive hardware:
* The speaker setup mentioned (and the control shown) is a Logitech X540. The HOTAS and rudder pedal setup is a G940 flight control system. The Keyboard is a G19, and the gamepad (nostromo type thing) is a G13.
* The mouse is a SteelSeries Legendary mouse with 11 buttons
And if you think the setup is a little cramped, don't worry too much. As Corvair notes, the flat area between the keyboard and monitor provides a good place to mount a racing wheel for racing games, or provide a good place to place drinks and snacks.
Also, the mouse and G13 gamepad can easily be moved to behind the joystick and throttle for normal use, so the room could substitute as the most pimped gamer cubicle ever. Might I reccomend a mini-fridge?
An early access program for MechWarrior Online begins August 17th.
