Sony Interactive Entertainment has revealed the time and date for its E3 2016 press conference and it will be held on a Monday, June 13 at 6:00 PM, Pacific Time (PT). This is pretty much the same as it is every single year just before the actual E3 2016 show does kick off.
The Sony E3 2016 will take place at the Shrine Auditorium & Expo Hall in Los Angeles, California, Game Spot cited. The invitations don't make sort of mention on what will be exactly be on display or what they're going to reveal on Sony E3 2016.
However, it is known that the PlayStation VR is most likely going to be the main focus of the Sony E3 2016. On top of that, we may also potentially get some official word from Sony regarding the reports of the PlayStation 4.5 or the PlayStation 4K or the PlayStation NEO consoles.
It looks like that there are some rumors out there that Sony will not be announcing news regarding the PlayStation 4.5 console, as reported by Geeks ULTD. The console has been rumored has been rumored over the last few months and with many potential leaks and everything leading to E3 2016, we may not actually end up seeing it at Sony E3 2016 itself.
A report is going around that Sony will not show up the new console at E3 2016 but instead they'll show it off at Paris Games Week later in the year. This rumor actually makes a lot of sense, as you wouldn't want to announce a console too far ahead of the Christmas season.
Aside from the Sony E3 2016 press conference, Microsoft will host their show just a few hours earlier at 9:30 AM. Nintendo, on the other hand, will reportedly have the same sort of Nintendo direct event that they held in recent years and Polygon reports that the Japanese multinational consumer electronics and software company will only release one game at E3 2016.
