Tweets will most likely encourage a multimedia format soon! Rumors circulated that "Twitter" will announce that the 140-character limit will not longer cover photos and links. Aside from wanting to be a news platform, Twitter as a social media giant is aiming to give agency for users to fully express themselves verbally and visually.

Twitter is expected to make the announcement in the next two weeks, Bloomberg cited. Upon its likely implementation, Twitter users can enjoy an additional 23 to 24 characters in their tweets. This could be in line with Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey's inclination to present tweets in a different way.

Previously, Twitter scrapped its plan to go beyond the 140-character limit to at least 10,000 characters. It was met by much scrutiny that Twitter decided against it to keep up with the tweet tradition of the famous social media platform.
