'Mass Effect: Andromeda' News & Update: BioWare Confirms Delay to 2017

BioWare finally confirmed what fans already knew, game players won't be seeing Mass Effect: Andromeda until early 2017 which backs the rumors of the delay in March. An update on Mass Effect: Andromeda will be shown at EA play's E3 event on June 12.

The confirmation of the delay comes directly from "Mass Effect" official website where they posted a new update with details about Mass Effect: Andromeda and its release window. The article states that their team in BioWare is doing the best they can to deliver an incredible game for the fans with "an unprecedented level of freedom."

"We've been playing the game at the studio recently, it's showing us that we're taking the game in the right direction," Aaryn Flynn, General Manager of BioWare said. "But we also know we need the right amount of time to make sure we deliver everything the game can be and should be -- that's our commitment from all of us to you."

The Mass Effect: Andromeda article mentions amazing stories, characters and third person shooter combat that game players certainly love, but it didn't say anything about implementing RPG mechanics that will allow players to deeply develop their character and their own place tiles.

From the sound of it, it looks like BioWare may focus on combat more than RPG for "Mass Effect: Andromeda," but fans will just have to wait and see for now. Game players have already seen some amazing results with the frostbite engine in the past, so one can only imagine how the visuals of "Mass Effect: Andromeda" will evolve with this new powerful tool.

As far as the delay of "Mass Effect: Andromeda" is concerned, Engadget reports that it's nothing surprising. Past reports have already indicated that the game would be delayed until early 2017 and that indeed turned out to be the case.
