The excitement over the unseen iPhone 7 is real, and this claim is backed by research. As it turns out, customers are already eager to purchase the rumored device, and the anticipation is much greater than the latest models.
The survey is conducted by the UBS Evidence Lab, AppleInsider reports. It involved 6,336 smartphone users from mainland China, Germany, Japan, the UK and the US. Participants from China and the US, in particular, are much more interested in getting the speculated handset than the iPhone 6s. UBS analyst Steven Milunovich predicts that iPhone growth will reach from 5% to 10% in Apple's 2017 fiscal year, the outlet notes.
According to Softpedia, the iPhone 7 may have a similar look with the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus, except for small tweaks. Under the hood, the smartphone is pegged to pack A10 and M10 processors supported by at least 2GB of RAM. In addition, the device is believed to ditch Apple's conventional audio jack in lieu of an all-purpose Lightning connector, which apparently, results to a much thinner architecture.
In a recent interview with CNBC's "Mad Money," CEO Tim Cook shed some light about future iPhones, and this future looks to be bright. "But we're gonna give you things that you can't live without, that you just don't know that you need today," he told host Jim Cramer.
As we have previously reported, three models are speculated to fall under the iPhone 7 line, and these include the standard version, the iPhone 7 Plus and the iPhone 7 Pro. The last two models may actually be just one thing, but until we hear official word, these details are to be taken with a grain of salt.
The standard unit is touted to have a 4.7-inch, waterproof display that supports a resolution of 1334×750 pixels at 326 ppi. It is said to be offered in internal storage variants of 16GB, 64GB and 128GB. The alleged Plus and Pro models, on the other hand, are believed to sport the obvious larger display, more RAM, and the highly-anticipated dual-camera set-up at the back.
