'Dota 2' Recent Patch Release: Game-Changing Patch Features And New Items Will Be Available

Defense of the Ancients, or "Dota 2" will be releasing a new patch that will implement significant changes to Valve's popular online game. Patch 6.87 shall introduce big overhauls in "Dota 2" interface and heroes that will greatly affect the playing experience and the competitive standard of the game.

One of the most game-changing patch feature to expect is that 16 Intelligence points are now directly proportional to a one percent increase in spell damage, according to Yahoo. As an example, it cited the popular 'Dota 2' strong hero, The Invoker, being placed in an advantageous position for being an intelligent spellcaster. In addition, a new Scan capability is released to minimize chances of ambush; however, it will just notify but not specifically say the number of heroes that are hiding out.

Out of the multiple changes brought the patch, RockPaperShotgun mentioned "Dota 2" balancing changes are also a standout as Wards are given shorter lives and the Abyssal Blade is now more fortified in the defensive side. To name a few, scepter upgrades are also developed for heroes such as the Blood Seeker, Mirana, Oracle, Storm Spirit and Winter Wyverns.

This "Dota 2" patch release will also showcase new items. There are new combination items that can cause significant damage and boost neighboring attacks. Melee heroes can depend on the impressive Echo Sabre to provide double passive attacks with a five-second interval that can also make opponents slower. Shoving is also made interesting through the Hurricane Pike, an evolved item from Force Staff and Dragon Lance.

Players will also enjoy a much user-friendly interface and dashboard for ease of accessibility. As reported by Game Rant, the interface redesign is done to entice new users to play "Dota 2" along with the reliable tutorial and guided computer-assisted matches to show newbies the ropes. Valve confirmed that it is also looking at a new party management system but sources are yet to confirm about the chosen brand new engine that will carry "Dota 2."
