Xbox One Backwards Compatibility Adds Another Classic Game To Its List

Microsoft added another title to its Xbox One backwards compatibility list. Fans can now play "Rayman Origins," which was developed by Ubisoft and released in November 2011 for Xbox 360, Playstation 3, Nintendo Wii and 3DS and Playstation Vita.

The news about "Rayman Origins" being added into the list was announced on Twitter by Major Nelson. Those who already own the game via a disc, they can just insert that into their console. If not, they should be able to see the title on the downloads library.

A few days ago, the Xbox One backwards compatibility list added "Doom 3: BFG Edition," "Sonic the Fighters," "Monaco" and "Duke Nukem: Manhattan Project." Although fans have been clamoring for a "Call of Duty: Black Ops" or "Red Dead Redemption" release, Microsoft is not following a fix schedule for announcements. If the game is ready, and with the publisher's permission, it will automatically be added.

"Rayman Origins" is the fourth installment in the popular side-scrolling gameplay. It was touted to be the best in the franchise and achieved quite a distinction since it was made available to different platforms when it came out.

As with the previous three titles, the plot is flimsy at best. The game begins with Rayman and his best friend Globox hanging out with some of their Teensy friends at the Snoring tree. Their loud snores, however, woke up a powerful old woman in the Land of the Living Dead. In spite, she sent out her horde of Darktoons and other monsters which captured Rayman and Globox, along with Betilla the Nymph and her sisters.

The two managed to flee from the clutches of the Darktoons. In order to save their friends, they must collect Electoons to bring back Bubble Dreamer to it former state and stop the nightmares.
