Capcom has recently released an update for its Street Fighter V beta, which will include a new set of alternative costumes for some iconic characters. Tech savvy players have since attempted to datamine the updates and discovered a number of new character costumes. It was shared in Reddit that YouTube user rKappasvoice has compiled a short video showcasing each of the new costumes in the actual game.
This update includes an exclusive look at preorder Battle Costume outfits for Chun-Li and Ryu. This is a fresh batch of previously unseen character costumes, including the most-awaited police uniform for Interpol's Chun-Li. Players can purchase Chun-Li's Battle Costume by preordering the game on the PlayStation Store or on PC and Ryu's Battle Costume by preordering the game at GameStop.
The Street Fighter 5 players who datamined those costumes from the updated beta files eventually got them working in the game. Other Street Fighter 5 characters who will also get a new set of alternate costumes, players have uncovered, are Bison, Cammy, Laura, Rainbow Mika, Zangief and Rashid. It is cute how Mika and Zangief got matching wrestling outfits. You can check out some of those costumes in action in a YouTube video by the one who discovered it.
The screenshots from the Reddit user rKappasvoice also showcased Birdie's, Cammy's and Karin's new costumes. Cammy still sports the same revealing skirt, though, if you're wondering. As for Laura's new alt outfit, it is still a bit NSFW.
Street Fighter V will officially launch on Feb. 16 in North America and Europe for PlayStation 4 and PC. This game will allow cross-play between both platforms, so it's something to look forward to. The characters that have been confirmed for the game have been revealed, and after the game launches, Alex, Ibuki, Guile, Balrog, Urien and Juri will be released as the next batch of new characters. All of them can be earned by playing the game or can be purchased for immediate access using real-world money. Players who want to use them right away have the option to purchase the 2016 Season Pass, which is already available for prepurchase now in North America.
