Nintendo's New NX Could Work With PS4, PC And Smatphones

There hasn't been much information regarding Nintendo's home console NX lately. The game company has kept the device a mystery for quite some time now. However, there have been some really interesting rumours surrounding the device. What would you feel if this device actually works with PlayStation 4 games? A number of rumours have been circulating online today suggesting the hardware 's compatibility with smartphones, PCs and even other consoles such as PlayStation 4.

How the NX would work with these other devices is still blurry, but one assumption to Nintendo's new toy could mean that it utilises an app to link on any device. App developer DeNA, which works together with Nintendo to pave the way for Nintendo's future mobile games, is also involved with the NX project.

There isn't anything official report regarding Nintendo's new console, but the rumour began spreading following a tweet made by Wall Street Journal's Takashi Mochizuki. The tweet confirms David Gibson's claim that Nintendo's upcoming console/handheld hybrid would support integration with other third-party devices. Gibson is a famous journalist in Japan who works with gaming and tech while also working as the head of Japan Research for Macquarie.

A marketing survey revealed by research company GfK detailed some important information about the new Nintendo NX. It boasts a lot of new features, including 4K streaming to 60fps support. The survey gives out a small teaser on how the gameplay will flow between the console and handheld devices.

For now, we can only guess what Nintendo plans to do with the Wii U's spiritual successor. However, Nintendo aims to create a newer and fresher experience unlike any other company has designed before. There are plenty of possible features we don't know yet, and the company has still yet to point out which direction it is taking. One thing is for sure--we will find out some more specifics on this year's E3.
