Excited for League of Legend's new champ? We will give you every reason to.
"Jhin's assembling his gun and orchestrating his grand entrance onto the Rift. He's meticulous and calculating - League's slowest marksman yet. But when the murderous artist gets you in his sights, when he catches you off-guard, there's not much that'll save you from an inevitable, perfect death."
Riot described Jhin as an artist in his own right. A slow marksman but as implied in the statement, this guy is expected to be painful as hell.
League of Legends' new champion, Jhin, won't be out yet, and he won't be rushed either. Most of the time Riot has this hobby of releasing champions in their overpowered state, then nerfing them on sooner or later. We understand that Riot, believe me, we do. We are excited to see this guy in action though and we will definitely wait for the next shot.
Jhin, as seen in youtube videos, seem to attack in four shots. Like most AD carries, this procs an almost crit-like shot. However, crits deal less damage than normal ADCs and attack speed doesn't scale too well. However, he gains attack damage from attack speed and crit is triggered by items and runes, while the fourth shot in a row always deals crits and deals additional damage based on the target's missing health (Vayne is that you?).
He has very limited attack range and he tends to save the fourth bullet, which might make him an easy target to harass, but don't underestimate the guy. Riot has armed him with a range of slows and marks to compensate for this flaw. His ultimate ability "Curtain Call, is a pumped-up version of his auto attack, revealing his target in a ridiculous range and shooting four auto attacks with a crit to finish the combo.
Jhin's list of passive abilities is definitely not traditional. It's how items, runes, and other champions interact with him that makes it all very complicated. Not only that, his active abilities are confusing as well. His kit includes a bouncing grenade that jumps between enemies, a ridiculously long-ranged shot roots enemies, a trap that triggers an area-effect slow when enemies walk on top of it, and an ultimate that enables him to see and shoot enemies even outside of his range. At the very least, we know that Jhin will make for some interesting strategies when he goes live.
