Those who pre-ordered Hitman for PS4 might be worried that their orders have been cancelled, but don't worry, Square Enix has announced that this was a result of some behind-the-scenes configuration changes that will be fixed soon. There is no reason to panic as this is just a small delay.
A message was posted to pre-order customers last night, Sony has mentioned that it had been notified by the publisher in advance "that the configuration of the product you pre-ordered has changed significantly. As a result we have withdrawn the current pre-order from PlayStation Store and will cancel all pre-orders. A revised pre-order for Hitman will be available on the store soon." They added.
The cancellations took place after they removed the game in the Playstation store, this was true to all pre-orders from the European PlayStation Store. Developer IO Interactive, has asked fans to be patient and mentioned that the game is still on track for release this March. "Release date is still March 11. We're adjusting a few things & will update in a few days." they said in a Twitter post. If you preordered the game, you will immediately receive an email confirming that your pre-order has been cancelled. A different pre-order option for Hitman will be available for purchase soon.
Hitman's PS4 beta will shortly begin on February 12 while the PC beta arrives a bit later on February 19. Unfortunately for Xbox One fans, the beta won't be available for Microsoft. The developer has confirmed that regardless of the changes, there won't be any delay on the official release. The full version will still be available for all platforms in March 2016. It was originally planned out to arrive earlier, but some content had to be squeezed in hence, the slight move to the release date.
