After Pull Out, BioShock Sets Return To App Store After Fix, Confirms 2K Games

World-renowned developer 2K Games launched BioShock last year for the iOS platform, but it was pulled out last July due to compatibility issue with the iOS 8.4 update. Rumor has it that 2K promised to work around the issue, but apparently, they did not for undisclosed reasons. To make it worst, 2K let the game inside App Store without doing anything that angered those who held on to the promise that 2K Games provided.

Those that had previously bought the game were unable to access it and it cannot even be located - for a $19 mobile game, this was not very nice of 2K to do without notice. According to 2K though, this removal was brought about by the developers attempting a fix for the game's incompatibility issue.

It is very understandable for those who got the game for $19 to get upset with 2K Games gesture, but 2K Games went ahead to defend the action and said that the removal was brought about by the developers with the hopes to fix the game's incompatibility issue.

2K Games released an official statement and said that they recently provided inaccurate information to their customers with regard to the removal of BioShock for the iOS platform from the App Store. The statement went on to say that BioShock is currently going under repair to make it compatible with the iOS 8.4 version, and once the BioShock is good to go for the iOS, it will be brought back to the App Store.

Nonetheless, 2K Games said that players may continue to play the game with iOS 8.3 or earlier versions and extended their apologies for the erroneous initial customer service announcement that created a stir to the BioShock gamers. They also promised their supporters to be more sensitive on their next move and keep everyone aware as well as to provide a more correct information moving forward.
